A United Methodist Church
Established in 1789, Market Street United Methodist Church has been worshipping in the heart of Winchester with hearts and hands open. At the corner of Cork St and Cameron St, on Sunday mornings at 10:30AM you'll likely hear the reverberations of our pipe organ and the lovely voices of our congregants singing with joy and thanksgiving. We hope you'll join us and feel the steadfast and abundant love of our God with us!
With our long history in Methodism, from the powerful preaching of Francis Asbury that led James Wall to start class meetings in Winchester, Market Street UMC continue to celebrate the rich heritage of Wesleyanism. On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate an open table for Communion and eagerly anticipate the riches of God's love to be met and shared by our church community.

Rev. Jack Lee
Lead Pastor
Pastor Jack Lee began his appointment at Market Street United Methodist Church in July 2025. Born in Seoul, South Korea, raised in Federal Way, Washington, and diving into the Christian faith in Maryland and Virginia, he has lived somewhat as a nomad, but has found a home here in Winchester. You can often find him laughing at his own jokes, before anyone else does, but he simply has the hope that when you sit among our community that your hearts will be lifted and that you will share in the countless joys there are to be had with the loving people of Market Street UMC.

Kitchen of Hope

General Giving
Your investments towards the general funds of our church are one of the most impactful ways that you can contribute to the disciple making efforts of our community. Whether it's with the children of our community, the families, and the community as a whole, Market Street UMC works to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Kitchen of Hope
Your contributions to Kitchen of Hope helps to bring life changing meals to those in our community every Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30. With our long history of serving community meals, you can know that one of our greatest values is a full and content stomach. You can find our more about the ministry of Kitchen of Hope at our link above!

Love Offering
Your love offerings to our church go towards helping individuals and families who experience crises moments. Although we may not be able to solve every problem in the world, your giving towards this fund helps us to make one step closer to extending the compassion of Jesus to our neighbors in times of need.
